Somewhere on the edge of a cold and exhaustion, I rely on two foolproof methods: a daytime nap (literally 30 minutes) and a warming mix that works in just one minute:

  • 1 tbsp. carob or cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp. pre-soaked nuts (pecans, cashews, pumpkin seeds, or replace with unsweetened nut or coconut milk — omit water in this case)
  • 200 ml water
  • a pinch of chili powder
  • a 5 cm piece of cinnamon stick (or 1 tsp. ground cinnamon)
  • a tiny amount of black Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • optional: ½ tsp. buckwheat honey or stevia

Blend everything until smooth. If your blender has a heating mode, use it; if not, blend first and then heat.
