Chocolate is one of the few desserts that contain no flour. If it has 70% cocoa content or higher, it also contains no milk and only a small amount of sugar. Chocolate pairs well with almost any food, making it a great dessert after a meal. A couple of pieces of chocolate are a completely harmless yet satisfying treat.
- 300 ml almond milk (soak 50 g raw almonds + 300 ml water, blend, and strain)
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- 100 g chocolate (70% cocoa content or higher)
- a small pinch of salt
Melt the chocolate over low heat (or using a double boiler). Without removing from the heat, add the almond and coconut milk. Stir continuously with a whisk and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add a little salt. If desired, enhance the flavor with chili pepper or orange zest.
