This is a perfect option when you don’t want to search for complex ingredients, or you simply don’t have much time for lunch.
- 1 can of tuna
- 250 g pasta (I used tagliolini, but spaghetti, tagliatelle, or pappardelle are even better)
- olive oil
- 1/2 onion (preferably sweet white onion)
- 3 tbsp. tomato paste (optional)
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta as directed on the packaging.
In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the finely chopped half-onion until softened. Add the entire can of tuna and a bit of tomato sauce. Let it simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
When the pasta is almost ready, drain the water, mix the pasta with the sauce, and combine well. Serve with fresh basil leaves.
