Let's take the simplest recipe, Mexican, what spices tell us about — paprika and cumin, and salsa.
- 1 sweet pepper
- 1 red onion
- 2 chicken breasts (you can take any other boneless poultry meat)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- pinch of cumin
- 1/2 lime
- olive oil
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
for salsa:
- 1/2 fresh chili
- 1 tomato
- olive oil
- a small bunch of cilantro
- lime
- salt and pepper
Pepper is cleaned of seeds, cut into strips, cut onions in half rings, chicken meat is cut into strips of the same size as pepper. We put everything in a bowl, sprinkle with paprika and ground cumin. Squeeze out half of the lime, sprinkle with olive oil, salt and pepper.
For the salsa, finely chop the chili (of course without seeds), finely the tomato, chop the leaves and stalks of cilantro, salt and pepper, squeeze the juice of 1 lime.
Fry in a grill pan (or in a regular one, if not) for 6-8 minutes, until all the vegetables and chicken are slightly browned.
We put everything in tortillas (wheat or corn tortillas), if you find them, if not, wrap them in thin pita bread. With salsa, of course. Guacamole will not be superfluous:)
