Delicious and exquisite salmon steak with a fragrant creamy wine sauce is a real culinary masterpiece that is easy to prepare at home. Delicate and juicy fish with a golden crust is combined with a rich sauce based on white wine, sour cream, sorrel and fresh tomatoes. This recipe is perfect for special lunches or dinners when you want to cook something special, but without too much effort.

Ingredients
  • Salmon — 800 g
  • White sweet onion — 1 piece, peeled and chopped
  • Dry white wine — 400 g
  • A bunch of sorrel, chop
  • Sour cream — 100 g
  • Lemon — 1 piece
  • Tomatoes — 2 pieces, peeled and finely chopped
  • Butter — 50 g
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
cooking

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour the white wine, add the chopped onion and cook over medium heat until the liquid has evaporated by half, revealing its flavor. Add sour cream, freshly squeezed lemon juice and finely chopped sorrel. Stir and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce is homogeneous and rich. Then add the peeled and finely chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and let the sauce brew a little over low heat so that all the flavors are harmoniously combined.

Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan or grill pan. Lay out the salmon steaks and fry them for 5-7 minutes on each side until the fish is golden brown, remaining tender and juicy inside.

Put the hot salmon on a plate, pour the fragrant cream-wine sauce and serve. It goes well with young potatoes, vegetable garnish or fresh crispy baguette.

Bon appetit!
