- 1 kg pears
- 50 g butter
- 50 g of sugar
- 100 g honey
- 125 g flour (2/3 cup)
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml kefir
- sea salt
Peel and core the pears, then cut them into 6 pieces. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
In a pan, melt the butter, add the sugar and let it dissolve slightly, then pour in the honey. Add the sliced pears and stir them over medium heat for 15 minutes, caramelizing until golden brown.
For the batter, whisk together kefir, flour, eggs, salt, and a tablespoon of sugar until smooth. Place the caramelized pears into a baking dish, pour the batter over them, and transfer to the oven.
Check after about 15 minutes — if it's not golden enough, bake for another 4–5 minutes.
