When it comes to fresh vegetables, greens, fruits, and berries for breakfast, you only need to remember two things:
1 - that’s enough.
A portion of vitamins and fiber won’t overload your digestion and will help your body reset and cleanse. Eggs and sausages can wait until later in the day. After a breakfast like this, you’ll feel much lighter and leave room for calories at lunch and dinner.
2 - no cooking required.
Wash, chop, and blend! You can add herbs to smoothies in amounts you’d never eat otherwise - a bunch of spinach, Swiss chard, or mint, whatever you prefer. And remember: fruits are best combined only with berries and greens, and your next meal should be no sooner than 2 hours later.
Banana-Strawberry Smoothie
- 1 large banana
- 10 strawberries (frozen if not in season)
- 5–7 sprigs of mint
Chop and blend. If you like a spoonable smoothie, that’s it (optionally add a green apple like Simirenko). For a drinkable version, add 100 ml water and a splash of lemon juice.

Green Smoothie
- 2 apples
- 4 kiwis
- a large bunch of Swiss chard (or any leafy greens)
- 1 tbsp oat bran
Chop the apples and blend with the greens and bran. Add the kiwi at the end and pulse briefly. For a drinkable version, add 75 ml water and the juice of half a lime.
